The Vortex V4 sprocket is a premium lightweight aluminum rear sprocket built for riders who want sharper response, precise fitment, and a distinctive factory-level appearance. Designed for sportbike, track-day, and racing applications, the V4 combines aggressive weight reduction with the strength and durability expected from Vortex.

CNC-machined in the USA from 7075-T6 aluminum, the V4 is approximately 10% to 15% lighter than the traditional Vortex CAT5 aluminum sprocket. Material is carefully removed from both sides of the sprocket to reduce rotating mass while maintaining the precise fit and strength riders expect from Vortex. Less rotating mass can help the drivetrain respond more quickly during acceleration and deceleration, while the precision-machined tooth profile supports smooth, consistent chain engagement.

The V4 is available in a broad range of tooth counts, making it suitable for direct replacement or custom gearing changes. Multiple color options let riders coordinate the rear sprocket with the motorcycle’s wheels, controls, rearsets, or other performance components.

We try to keep as many sprockets in stock as possible, with so many different options available, inventory can vary. To verify that a specific sprocket is in stock, please give us a call. If the sprocket is not currently in stock, most options will ship in 3–5 business days. Any sprocket not on our list, call us and we can create a special order. Special ordered sprockets will take about a week or two weeks to get programed, cut, and shipped out.
